RAHA encourage and work with farmers – giving training for them on organic farming e.g. SRI- Line Sowing, preparing organic manure, farm-based water conservation etc.
RAHA encourage women to understand the value of kitchen garden. The kitchen garden would be where the kitchen vessels are washed and the water is drained into the garden. The vegetables grown in kitchen garden would be that which give vegetable through the year like greens (such as different type of saag), brinjal, sem and seasonal vegetables like radish, cauli flower, cabbage, carrots, spinach, beans etc. Every kitchen garden should have a couple of papaya tree, lemon tree and muringal (munga). The primary goal of kitchen garden is to enrich their diets by growing food for home consumption.
